The side rails are constructed as a single piece with multiple bends for excellent strength and rigidity and powder coated with the same UV Stable automotive grade powder coating as the Ruggedized Crossbars.

All carbon steel construction with black powder coating. Standard steel racks will need to be touched up if scratched to prevent rust.

The hardware is Grade 8.8 M8 bolts finished in a harsh environment coating with Nordlock washers and nuts. Nordlock washers are vibration resistant and take quite a bit of torque to loosen once tightened! These washers will not shake loose on the trail!

Toyota specifies a maximum dynamic load rating for the roof of 300 pounds.
